187 acres of social distancing, can y'all dig it???
- janet bMy husband and I had the most wonderful experience hunting for crystals at Twin Creek Crystal Mine. We bought the $100/ person entry which meant Bobby would put you in an area that would have more prevalent crystals, larger clusters and better clarity opportunities. We literally ran out of energy and room in our truck before we ran out of beautiful crystals. Bobby was so helpful since this was our first crystal mining adventure and gave us great tips. We were lucky and the area had just had some rain which helped with finding those shiny gems. By far way more fun and rewarding than our experience at diamond mining last year. Definitely will be on our to do list again. We went end of July, definitely hot, so take plenty of water.
- tom sWe went crystal digging 3 times in My Ida, the first time somewhere else, the last 2 times Twin creeks 25 dollar dig. Next time Im hoping to do the $100 dig?. Good place. We recommend it.
- Tonya HBy far the best place we have been to this summer! Nicest people running it, too! We drove 3.5 hours from Oklahoma to go. I took my nanny/friend for her birthday bc she has always wanted to go. The owner, Bobbie, walked up to her, handed her several perfectly pointed and already washed crystals FOR HER BIRTHDAY! He asked "who is the birthday girl?" Then handed them to her! Then later gave us (her) a small cluster of beautiful crystals! It was absolutely lovely and a very kind and generous gift. We did the $25/day dig and spent about 4.5 hours digging. The weather was perfect. There were crystals everywhere! You could find them just walking around. They had just dug a bunch of new piles and the owners told us which piles were brand new. Bobbie was sharing his knowledge with the kids digging and it was obvious he loves and knows the craft. You do need a truck or high profile vehicle (SUV) bc it IS in the mountains and rugged. There IS a sign so if you don't see the gate, keep driving....
